La Poulette

Tastes like chicken.

Thursday, December 08, 2005

Unfortunately, I'm not QUITE ready to share how I made a fool of myself in front of the Commissioner.

The lack of posting should be attributed to excessive drinking and socialising at various Christmas parties. I have a life and, it appears, a bottomless thirst for alcohol. I did think I'd outgrown this juvenile drinking phase in my student days. Darn it, I was wrong.
The good news is that my move to Wordpress is imminent. I've been working on filing my posts under various categories, one of which I'd entitled "Shame is my name". With all the stories that took place over these last few days, I dare say it won't stay empty for long.

Good riddance, I say. In both cases.

Besides, Europe was finished in 1914. It's been nothing but a long decline into irrelevance ever since. Not that I mind, of course. I've always been rather fond of decadence.

Although I'd like to think of myself as a superimportant link in the eurocratic wheel, I'm afraid a drunken Poulette will hardly lead to the collapse of the EU - but I do appreciate the vote of confidence, Peter. Ill-advised, I beg to differ but am just a tad too hung-over to get into it. And Crni, those resorts seem to share the same kind of atmosphere as the EU institutions, key word here being meat market.

Well, that's why we're all hoping your blog develops into something more akin to Washingtonienne.

Since I don't want to get in Dooce-like trouble, allow me to underline that my last comment was a joke. True, as in any huge organisation, I suppose the EU institutions have their own share of hanky panky going on. But the Poulette speaks not from personal experience!

I was strictly alluding at the institutional meat market.
A happy girl here and there does not present a threat to the Empire, at least not one worth mentioning.

    Nice layout, btw!
